How it works

How ShipBoost works

ShipBoost is built for bootstrapped SaaS founders who want a cleaner launch system, clearer rules, and stronger discovery than a noisy daily feed or a dead directory listing.

Why this model works better

Daily launch surfaces can create a short spike, but good products get buried quickly when the board resets. Generic directories have the opposite problem: they stay online, but often become storage instead of real discovery.

ShipBoost is built to combine both jobs more cleanly: launch visibility now, and durable public discovery after the launch week ends.

1. Submit your product

Founders submit their product, listing details, and launch preference. Free launches use a nofollow website link by default and can add an optional ShipBoost badge to unlock a dofollow backlink.

2. Enter the right launch flow

Free launches are reviewed and queued into weekly cohorts. Premium Launches reserve a launch week after payment confirmation.

3. Launch into a weekly board

ShipBoost organizes launches in weekly windows so strong products stay visible longer and are not buried in a one-day spike.

Free Launch

  • Reviewed before approval
  • Nofollow website link by default
  • Verified badge unlocks a dofollow backlink
  • Queued into the next available weekly cohort

Premium Launch

  • Hand-written editorial article on the ShipBoost blog
  • Choose a launch week
  • Featured placement on the launchboard that week
  • Guaranteed dofollow link
  • Starts ahead of free launches outside the top vote slots

How ranking works

The top three spots are earned by the most upvotes in the active week. After that, Premium Launches appear ahead of free launches, which gives paid launches stronger baseline placement without removing the vote-driven leaderboard.

What happens after submission

Founders can track review status, payment state, and launch date from the dashboard. Once scheduled, the launch date stays visible on the submission card so there is no ambiguity about timing.

What founders get after launch

A public ShipBoost listing
Weekly board visibility
Category and tag discovery paths
Alternatives and comparison exposure over time
Dashboard control over launch timing and listing state

Choose Free Launch if…

You want a credible public listing and weekly board visibility, with a nofollow website link by default and the option to add a badge for a dofollow backlink.

Choose Premium Launch if…

You want a hand-written editorial article about your product on the ShipBoost blog — a permanent asset you can share and link to. Premium also lets you reserve a specific week, gets stronger baseline placement, and includes a guaranteed dofollow link.

Use partner submissions if…

You want broader manual directory coverage outside ShipBoost and would rather hand that work to our partner service.
