FrogTalk is a free, open source chat app you can self-host in minutes. It combines encrypted DMs, group rooms, voice and video calls, a social feed, and a built-in image board — all in one place.
Built by a solo dev out of frustration with apps that demand your phone number before you can do anything. Messages are end-to-end encrypted client-side so the server never sees plaintext. Federation lets your node connect to others on the network, or run it completely standalone.
The Android app is in open beta. The web app is live now at frogtalk.xyz. Full source on GitHub under MIT license.
