What Lunar Log does
Lunar Log is a private dream journal for iPhone, Android, and the web. You capture a dream by voice with your eyes closed or by typing, and it saves the recording alongside the text. Dreams organize themselves as you tag people and places, so recurring characters and locations build up into profiles across your whole journal. When you want more, an optional AI layer called Luna interprets a dream through a Jungian lens, drawing on your own entries and a library of 500+ Jungian dream symbols.
What's broken about the alternative
Dream journal apps tend to fail in one of two ways. They're slow at the one moment speed matters, or they're abandoned, left in the App Store with nobody maintaining them. Many also keep your entries behind an account or a paywall, so years of journaling become hard to take with you.
Lunar Log writes to your phone first, works offline, and lets you export everything as Markdown for Obsidian or Notes without an account. Journaling stays free, and only the interpretation layer is paid.
